A Prayer of Gratitude

Thank you Father/Mother Universe for all that you have provided for me
If it weren’t for you, I’d still be without a job
If it weren’t for you, I’d still be without a home
If it weren’t for you, I’d still be without a partner
If it weren’t for you, I’d still be without a family
If it weren’t for you, I’d still be without money to spend
If it weren’t for your generosity, I’d still be living from hand to mouth
If it weren’t for you I’d still be without a car
If it weren’t for you I’d still be in my old job fighting for growth and recognition
If it weren’t for your mercy, I’d still be holding onto a grudge of an incident that happened two decades ago.
If it weren’t for you, I’d still be having an unforgiving heart and a strong desire for vengeance
If it weren’t for your wisdom, I’d still be held prisoner by the lack mentality. It is through your guidance and steering that I was able to see the abundant opportunities that had been lining up for me
If it weren’t for you I’d still be thinking that I wasn’t good enough nor smart enough
If it weren’t for you I’d still be thinking that my fate lies in the hands of others
If it weren’t for you, I’d still be blaming my parents for the suffering that I had to endure while growing up
If it weren’t for you, I’d still be stuck in a relationship rut and wondering how I was ever going to get out
If it weren’t for you, I would have never realized how stupid it was for me to live in the past yet hoping for a future
You said that your laws are consistent with each and every one of us and that they will never fail. I chose to listen and today I am seeing the benefits of my fellowship
I trusted in your word, and just like you promised, you delivered
Your wisdom has taught me to persevere through adversity, to be persistent in prayer, to stay positive until I receive and it is through your benevolence that I am proud to say that today I reap only because I listened

Thank you for all that you have done for me and for the rest of the miracles that are still to follow

You have changed my life for the better and for that I am so very very grateful.
