9th blunder

Dreams without values..Yep, that's my 9th blunder.

Every motivational speaker is talking about reaching for your dreams and not comprimising on what you want, but very little is said about "value systems" as you are chasing that dream.
We live in a very goal oriented era where the measure of a man is not by the size of his heart nor the sincerity and integrity of his intentions but today's measure of a man(women inclusive) is by the size of his wallet and the smoothness of his tongue, how quickly he can talk his way out of tricky situations, and anything less is not newsworthy.
What kind of a people have we become? What in the world is dreams without values?
How on earth can you go after the man of your dreams irrespective of whether he is married or not?
Why on earth would you want a promotion that would entail plotting and scheming for your colleague's downfall?
Why own a business if it means wealth acquisition through illegal means?
Why choose a career only so that you can be famous?

People need to wake up and smell the "integrity "coffee. I tell you that there is more to life than fun, cheating and selling your soul for a quick buck, a moment's high or for whatever need you want to fill.
A dreamer with a value system that does not include sincerity/integrity is like an apple tree that grows to bear rotten apples. You might get to eat some of them if you are lucky enough to plug them out before the rot spreads too far, but then again, what is the point of growing an apple tree whose fruits are useless?
The whole idea for planting the tree in the first place was so that you could enjoy all fruits and maybe sell some to generate extra income and if none of these objectives are realised, I ask the question again...What's the point of growing a "rotten" apple bearing tree?
To all those who blindly chase their dreams with full disregard of the consequences of chasing a selfish dream, all I have to say is that your dream is as good as the apple tree that we just talked about. All green, tall and healthy looking but with bad fruit.

Peace Out!

PS. If you fall into the category of self-made achievers who have grown accustomed to the acidic taste of the rotten apples, MAY YOU CHOKE ON THE NEXT ONE YOU EAT!.
